Education & Resources

We are all stewards of our water resources. Everyone benefits from clean water and is encouraged to play a role in protecting this important resource.

Get Educated

There are numerous resources available to learn more about water issues. Residents are encouraged to follow the Related Links for more information.

The Village of Castleton Library also is a valuable resource.

Participate in Government

Our democracy is not only “for the people” but “by the people”. You can do your share by regularly attending Village Trustee meetings, Village Planning Board meetings, public hearings for the annual report, or other events where water issues are discussed or decided upon.

The Village stormwater policies are primarily requirements handed down by the State and Federal Government. If you see opportunities to improve these policies, you are encouraged to contact your state and federal elected officials.

If you have specific concerns about proposed projects, on going construction activities, or stormwater pollution in the Village, you are encouraged to contact the Stormwater Coordinator indicated below.
