Recyclables: COMMINGLED CONTAINERS, PAPERS, CARDBOARD and HOUSEHOLD BATTERIES (placed in a separate bag) are collected curbside every other Wednesday, except on Holidays, as noted.
Commingled Containers: RINSE, CLEAN, and FLATTEN (if possible)! Remove labels, lids are okay. Place together in your recycling bin or box.
- Glass Bottles and Jars - ANY COLOR! No drinking glasses, ceramics, mirrors, or windows.
- Tin, aluminum, or bimetal cans and tops; clean aluminum foil / foil trays; EMPTY aerosol cans.
- Plastic BOTTLES and JUGS (container has narrower neck than body, or a screw top) ONLY. NO motor oil bottles. NO tubs, lids, bags, or toys. Also clean, flatten wax paper juice and milk cartons.
Papers: Newspapers, magazines, junk mail, office paper, and cardboard can be placed together in a PAPER bag, box, or bin. (Box or bin will be left behind for reuse.) Boxboard included gift, cereal, and tissue boxes; towel rolls, paper egg cartons, etc. Remove liners and flatten. NO refrigerated food boxes.
Cardboard: Clean and flatten cardboard (max. size 3 ft. x 3 ft.) must be bundled/bagged separately. NO waxed cardboard or food-contaminated (eg. PIZZA) boxes.
Textiles: Clean, dry wearable clothes, shoes, and linens are picked on by the ERC Community Warehouse in front of Village Hall on the 4th Saturday of each month, except as noted. Other reusable items (eg. furnishings, housewares, building materials, etc.) may also be dropped off at this time if you call in advance: 686-7540.
Remember: You can call the Warehouse to arrange pick up of many REUSABLE GOODS right from your home or office!
