Castleton Village Stormwater Program
As a Hudson River water front community, the Village of
Castleton-on-Hudson understands and values the importance of our water
resources. The river provides us with scenic and recreational enjoyment,
transportation and commercial opportunities. In return, we are all stewards of
the Hudson River. We owe it to ourselves and future generations to preserve and
protect this great river.
To protect our water resources, the U.S. EPA
and the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation require permits for
stormwater discharges from Municipal Separate Stormwater Systems (MS4s) in
certain urbanized areas including the Village of Castleton.
To comply
with these permit requirement, the Village has created a Stormwater Information
page, where information about local laws, the MS4 permit program and permits
for construction activities can be found along with links and other educational
information about how we can protect our water resources.
